COMMITTEE/PARENT MEETING
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2009

It was a wonderful ceremony!

POPCORN PICKUP - from my car tonight - scouts to deliver as soon as possible.
Please let me know right away if there is a problem with your order.
Final popcorn money to be turned in today.
Marie to make final payment to scout office.

CAMP OUT AT THE GULCH BY CAMP MALUHIA December 12 - 13
This campout is postponed again as there was only one scout and one parent attending (Nyk & Rich)
It may be done during the Christmas break. The scouts will talk it over at their next meeting.
Watch your e-mail for more information on this outing.

CHRISTMAS POTLUCK WITH PACK 22 - Saturday, December 19th at 3:00 at Kalama Park
All Boy Scouts are to bring one flat of water and a dessert to contribute to the potluck.
There will be a court of honor/awards at the potluck.
Dress in your Class A Uniform for this event.
PLEASE CONTACT MARY TO LET HER KNOW IF THERE ARE BADGES THAT YOU ARE TO RECEIVE.
SHE NEEDS TO KNOW ASAP SO THAT SHE CAN PICK THEM UP AT THE SCOUT OFFICE.

CURRENT MERIT BADGE the boys are working on is
Signaling and Tracking

EAGLE SCOUT PREPARATION - DYLAN, NATHAN, NASH & KAHUA
These boys should be in touch with Carl who is our Eagle Scout Advisor
They should download the requirements and bring them to the next meeting to go over with Mark.
Note: Kihei Baptist Chapel does not have any ideas for projects right now.

MARCH, 2010
Tentative date for trip to oahu to spend the night on Battleship Missouri
Check in 3:00 Saturday and check out at 8:00 am Sunday
Mark will call and reserve a date
Tricia will do a cost estimate on air/transportation/food
Other activities while on Oahu may include:
Diamond Head hike; Fort DeRussey Memorial Museum; Tour of a ship that is in Pearl Harbor
We will be doing at least one fundraiser in Feb. before this trip. Suggestions are car wash; Sees Candy Sale

Treasurer's Report - Marie $6,452.24
This does not include our popcorn sales or Maui Marathon Aid Station yet.

APRIL, 2010 Scoutarama at War Memorial Statium
April 22, 23 Set Up - April 24 Scoutarama - April 25 Breakdown
The whole Troop 22 and parents are asked to please assist Mark with the set up of a Rifle Range area for this event.

JUNE, 2010
NYLT - National Youth Leadership Training at Camp Maluhia
June 20 - 26 $180 - 200 per scout
Mark is in charge of this training and he highly recommends signing up your son for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

JULY, 2010 Summer Camp at Maluhia for Troop 22 starting July 4th
The Weekend before will be Staff Week for those who are interested and qualify. June 27th - July 3

SUMMER OF 2011 ALASKA TRIP
Rich will start the research on this exciting trip
Mark to give him contact information.

Thursday, December 17th will be the last Troop meeting of the year.
Please have your son attend this meeting.
We will be doing Board of Review for Thomas LaCroix.
If your son needs to have a Board of Review for his next advancement please let us know before Thursday.

No meetings on Dec. 24 or 31st.

PATROL LEADERS COUNCIL WILL MEET DURING THE CHRISTMAS BREAK TO PLAN FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS.

100 YEARS OF SCOUTING NATIONWIDE CELEBRATION called "A Shining Light Across America"

This is an exciting time for you and your son to be involved with Scouting.
Please remember to check in with him often and have him refer to his Scout Handbook to see where he is at
with his advancements and what he needs to do to move forward.
